Project M at Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts

This iteration of Project M brought together the works of nine artists who took part in The Color Network’s 2021 residency session at Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts. In summer of 2021, Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts partnered with The Color Network (TCN) to host an artist residency focused on strengthening mentor-mentee relationships among artists of color. The majority of TCN's mentorships do not meet in person; three weeks at Watershed gave the cohort time and space to grow their creative practices and connect with each other. Project M considers how time spent together influenced the artists and draws attention to their broad scope of creative approaches, interests, and histories. This residency, along with the 2022 TCN + Watershed residency session, were made possible through the support of a $35,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
Featuring work by Isolina Minjeong, Natalia Arbelaez, Corrin Grooms, April D. Felipe, Salvador Jimenez-Flores, Alex Paat, Sana Musasama, and Isaac Scott.
Project M was open from June through August 2022 Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts’ Barkan Gallery in Edgecomb, Maine.
