Muliebris at CSBSJU

Muliebris, the Latin word for woman, effeminate, feminine, is a juried exhibition that invites artists to submit work that speaks about expansive definitions of femininity. The feminine can be interpreted in many ways: from personal introspection to social constructs, from casual to the academic. This exhibition hopes to curate a show that considers intersectional viewpoints and resonant artwork for this topic.

Featuring work by Asma Waheed, Fatemeh Tajaddod, Ina Kaur, Isissa Komada-John, Jerrie Fabrigas, Kiana Valtierra, Mengjie Mo, Vincent Frimpong, and Sam Shamard. Juried by Akiko Jackson, Cassandra Scanlon, and Jess Cheng.

Muliebris was open through May 8, 2023 at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University. The exhibition was open at the Benedict and Dorothy Gorecki Gallery at CSB: 37 South College Avenue, St. Joseph, MN 56374-2001.
